STEM Summer Camps
We use fun and engaging tools and games in order to introduce students to the world of coding and engineering, providing them with the tools of the future.
Coding
During the first 2 days of our program, we use the Root robot and its accompanying app to introduce children to the world of coding. We code Root to draw on the whiteboard, navigate mazes, race against other robots, and even play robot tag! Root makes coding easy, and most importantly, makes it fun!
Engineering
We spend our remaining days learning how to engineer. Using the VEX go kit, we learn how we can engineer various mechanisms to make life easier, and learn about various mechanical concepts, such as pulleys and gears.
Innovation and Creativity
Throughout this process, we encourage children to innovate and utilize their creativity to solve problems. We ask children to imagine ways to make picking up objects for the elderly easier. We ask them to use their coding skills to draw a scene, from a simple flower to even perhaps a unicorn. Through our activities, we engage students' soft skills, preparing them with the tools of the future.
